John Deere Classic Golf Betting Tips

While most golf fans will be keeping a close eye on the events unfolding in Rio, the PGA Tour season continues with the John Deere Classic.

Last season the event was won by Jordan Spieth, but the former world number one will not be defending the tournament, as he takes a rest this week.

The favourites for this year are Zach Johnson (6/1) who has a fantastic record at the course, while Steve Stricker (11/1) who is the leading money winner of the tournament is also well fancied.

Don’t forget to check out our Olympics Golf Betting Tips to see who we think will take home the gold medal from Rio.

Last week I picked Alex Noren to win the Paul Lawrie Match Play and he did well to get to the final before falling to Anthony Wall – to see how I have been doing all season check out the Golf Betting Tips home page.

John Deere Classic Golf Betting Tips Advised Bets

Ryan Moore 4 points each way at 22/1 – We tipped him last week and he played well up to a disappointing final round. Has made the cut 7 times out of 7 at the tournament and finished in the top 25 the last four. All about whether he can put four solid rounds of golf together in a row.

Robert Garrigus 3 points each way at 40/1 – He used to be one of my go to picks a few seasons back. Has been playing some really solid golf and has always been a golfer who is capable of shooting low scores on a course like this.

Scott Brown 2 points each way at 70/1 – Finished Top 25 last week… but more importantly has had two top 10s at the John Deere Classic in the past. Shot a superb 61 here in 2014, and will be looking to go low again.

Johnson Wagner 2 points each way at 80/1 – Has only had one top 10 this season and is in need of a good performance on a course where he has had two top 10s in the last two seasons.
