Wilson Golf has announced it has signed the 2004 Women’s British Open winner Karen Stupples to play the FG Tour V2 irons and become a Wilson Staff advisory member.

Stupples, who also helped the Ladies’ European team capture the Solheim Cup, will also play the Wilson Staff FG Tour wedges.

General manager of Wilson Golf, Tim Clarke, said: “We are excited to welcome Karen Stupples as a Wilson Staff Advisory Member.

“Karen has been a great asset to women’s golf for many years, and we believe she will continue to succeed for years to come. We are proud to have her represent our brand on the LPGA.”

Stupples, who finished the 2011 season with a series of top ten finishes, added: “I am very honoured to join the Wilson Staff family.

“I am excited for the future possibilities that come with playing the Wilson Staff irons, and proud because of the history Wilson Staff has had with the women’s game. It will be a privilege to represent the brand.”
