Lumine Mediterranea Beach & Golf Community has been endorsed by the European Tour with the return of Qualifying School Stage 2 this November for a third consecutive year.

The 45-hole resort, located just one hour south of Barcelona, will welcome aspiring players chasing their dream of a spot on the main Tour from 2nd – 5th November.

Calle Carlsson, General Manage of Lumine Golf & Beach Club, said: “We take pride in meeting the rigorous course and facility standards set by the European Tour, whose decision to return to our facility demonstrates the success we have delivered as host venue in the past.

“Here at Lumine Golf Club we provide the complete package as a championship host venue and we look forward to welcoming Europe’s elite golfers for what will be one of the most important events in their careers.”

The hotly contested four-day competition will take place around the resort’s immaculately conditioned Greg Norman-designed Lakes Course. Bearing all the hallmarks of the Great White Shark, the testing links-style championship layout has proved itself as a popular venue for both the competitors and the European Tour.

Mike Stewart, Tournament Director of the European Tour, added: “This is a hugely important event for the European Tour as it gives professional golfers, both young and old, the opportunity to realise their dreams of playing on the tour.”

The tournament is just one of many events that are taking place at the Spanish resort in 2013, with the Spanish Junior Championship and International Golf Travel Market being held later in the year.
