Over the last three days, many of the biggest brands in golf have unveiled exciting new equipment. The new Callaway Diablo driver was the product that attracted the most attention but the Motocaddy S5 GPS trolley was the stand-out product for the Golf Monthly team.

A Sureshot GPS system has been built into the trolley and sits next to the speed control. When you arrive at your ball, the screen should immediately reveal your yardage to the key points in the hole. We felt this was an incredibly simple and effective idea that would leave you in no doubt about what club to play.

The GPS system also allows you to record your stats – how many fairways hit, how many putts taken etc.

It all seemed incredibly easy to use and for a predicted retail price of £549, we reckon it’s also excellent value. The Motocaddy S5 GPS will hit the market at the start of next year.
