The monster hitter Jason Zuback launched a ball 368 yards to take the fifth RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship on Saturday. Zuback, who beat closest challenger Eric Lastowka by 13 yards, last claimed the title of the world?s longest hitter in 1999.

During the semi final Zuback hit the longest drive of the night, a mammoth 386-yard strike with an incredible ball speed of 206 mph. He is now a five-time winner of the event, having been elected to the Long Drivers of America (LDA) Hall of Fame in 2003. He went home from the Palms GC, Nevada with this year?s first prize of $125,000. The long drive legend is renowned for putting long drive championships on the map and has been seen in a number of Cobra advertising campaigns.

The women?s division was won by Phillis Meti of Auckland, New Zealand, with an effort measuring 326 yards. The senior division was won by Gerry James, the 2005 title-holder, after booming his drive 378 yards.
