The Englishmen have been selected by captain Darren Clarke for the tournament in Malaysia.
Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood have been made captain’s picks for Darren Clarke’s European team in next month’s EurAsia Cup.
The two Englishman have been chosen by Clarke, who is also Europe’s 2016 Ryder Cup captain, for just the second staging of the tournament between players from Europe and Asia.
Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Malaysia will again host the tournament, which was tied in the first edition at 10-10 in 2014.
On his selections, Clarke said: “Having played in a total of 14 Ryder Cups, Ian and Lee have proven themselves two of the most fearsome match players in the game, and their presence in the team room and their ability to share their vast knowledge of the European team environment will be hugely important for us in Malaysia.”
Both will be making their debuts in the tournament, which will be held between the 15th and 17th of January.
Poulter, a proven Ryder Cup star with a strong singles record, said: “I don’t think it’s a secret how much I love playing match play golf and representing Europe, so it was an easy decision for me to make when Darren asked me to join his team.”

Westwood said: “I’ve had a fair amount of success in Malaysia over the years – I have won the Malaysian Open twice – so hopefully I can keep that form going and help Darren and the team get the result we want down there.”
The European team in full is: Bernd Wiesberger, Andy Sullivan, Soren Kjeldsen, Chris Wood, Danny Willett, Shane Lowry, Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, Victor Dubuisson, Matt Fitzpatrick, Ross Fisher and Kristoffer Broberg.
The Asian team will be captained by Indian Jeev Milkha Singh, who will name his side later this month.
Miguel Angel Jimenez and Thongchai Jaidee captained the two teams in 2014.
