Phil Aitken, who owns Manchester-based Cogo Golf Ltd, has acquired the rights to distribute the Power Bilt brand in the UK after securing a funding package from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
The clubs were first introduced to the UK market by Phil’s grandfather, Alf, in 1959 and he continued to distribute them until 1977.
Fuzzy Zoeller used the clubs to win the US Masters in 1979 and the US Open in 1984. The clubs are designed and manufactured in the USA and the Power Bilt company stretches back to 1916.
?I’m delighted we have been able to complete this deal as Power Bilt is a quality brand that has been missing from the UK market for too long,? said Phil.
