RBC Canadian Open: golf betting guide

The PGA Tour travels to Ontario this week for the RBC Canadian Open at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville.

Less than a week since The Open Championship finished at Muirfield a strong field have traveled over to compete in this event.

Brandt Snedeker, Hunter Mahan, Luke Donald, Ernie Els and Graeme McDowell are among the star names in the field this week.

The winner will be added to added to a list of famous winners, including Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and Tiger Woods.

Hunter Mahan at 20/1 with Ladbrokes, Is entering this tournament in good form. The American finished tied 9th at The Open Championship and tied 4th at the US Open and will be hoping to carry on this form to improve on his tied 4th back here in 2004.

Graham DeLaet at 33/1 with Ladbrokes, will be hoping to win his home title. Before The Open Championship, the Canadian had been playing well in the previous weeks, with five straight top-25 finishes and finishing 3rd at Travelers and a tied 8th at the AT&T National.

Daniel Summerhays at 50/1 with Ladbrokes, while others were plotting their way round Muirfield last week, Summerhays was losing in a play-off in the Sanderson Farms Championship. He has finished top 10 int he last 3 weeks, could well break his duck this week.

Robert Garrigus at 80/1 with Ladbrokes, one of our favourite picks from last year has not had quite a spectacular season this time. However on a course where you must shoot low, he has the ability to go on a low streak.

Johnson Wagner at 100/1 with Ladbrokes, was tied 2nd at the Greenbrier Classic just two weeks agoand made the cut at the Open last week, his game seems to be in good order at the moment and his price seems far to big.

RBC Canadian Open advised bets:

3pts each way on Hunter Mahan at 20/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Graham DeLaet at 33/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Daniel Summerhays at 50/1 with Ladbrokes 1pt each way on Robert Garrigus at 80/1 with Ladbrokes 1pt each way on Johnson Wagner at 100/1 with Ladbrokes
