Celtic Manor will welcome back some of 2010's Ryder Cup stars when the Wales Open returns to Newport in June.

Graeme McDowell, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Ross Fisher and Peter Hanson have confirmed their spots at the Wales Open, as has victorious Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie.

Defending Wales Open champion McDowell and 2005 winner Jimenez will be

joined by former Ryder Cup stars Paul Lawrie, Oliver

Wilson, Soren Hansen and Thomas Bjorn.

Two-time Major winner John Daly has also confirmed his attendance for what promises to be another excellent week in Wales.

For G-Mac, Golf Monthly's playing editor, it marks the start of a huge month as two weeks after the Wales Open the Ulsterman will tee it up at Congressional when he attempts to defend his US Open title.

McDowell has fond memories of Celtic Manor having won last year's Wales Open four months before holding his nerve to defeat Hunter Mahan in the final singles match that resulted in a famous Ryder Cup victory for Europe.
