Sony Open golf betting guide

Two more events this week and time to take a look at the betting. Both Tours are staying put with the PGA Tour remaining in Hawaii for the Sony Open and the Joburg Open means that the European Tour's 2011 Race to Dubai has its final leg in South Africa

Justin Rose

Last week Jonathan Byrd and Robert Garrigus more or less ran away with it, leaving our bets trailing. We're staying in Hawaii this week for the Sony Open.

SONY OPEN BETTING GUIDE:

Steve Stricker starts as the 8/1 favourite and that's reasonable given his tie for fourth last week and his fondness for Hawaii. You'd think that conditions will be slightly tougher this week and the scoring may not be quite as low.

There are a number of candidates that could triumph this week and we think JUSTIN ROSE is worth a few quid at 25/. Rose finished just outside the top ten last week and had it not been for an opening round of 75, he could well have featured in the Sunday mix-up.

Our second pick is ANTHONY KIM who we're staying loyal too having been encouraged by signs of better form at last week's Hyundai Tournament of Champions. He was a class act before injury wrecked 2010's campaign and it's only a matter of time before he bounces back, so grab 40/1 whilst you can.

ADVISED BETS:

2.5 pts each way on JUSTIN ROSE at 25/1

1 pt each way on ANTHONY KIM at 40/1
