The HSBC Women's Champions is set to feature a stellar field for the event at the Tanah Merah Country Club, Singapore.

Defending champion, Karrie Webb, will face a tough task to regain the title in a field containing 18 of the world's top 20 female golfers.

World number one Yani Tseng, number two Suzann Pettersen, number three Na Yeon Choi, number four Cristie Kerr and number five Paula Creamer will all be trying their best to prevent Webb from retaining the crown.

Crowd favourites Natalie Gulbis and Michelle Wie are also confirmed to play in the event, which starts February 23.

A staggering 49 of the top 50 ranked players on the final LPGA Official Money List for 2012 will make the journey to Singapore for the tournament, which is now regarded as 'Asia's Major'.

Giles Morgan, group head of sponsorship at HSBC, said: "We are very much looking forward to seeing this elite field compete for a title that has, so far, only been won by players' who have held the number one ranking.

"We try to make our tournaments a special experience not only for our customers and spectators, but also for the players and I think that the entry list shows that the HSBC Women's Champions has developed into a tournament that no one wants to miss.

"The players are the most important part of any tournament and, with this incredible line-up, we really feel we have all the ingredients to have our best ever HSBC Women's Champions."
