A look back at the two most recent TP Tour events at Royal Ashdown Forest and Stoneham Golf Club

October 15-16 Royal Ashdown Forest

The historic Royal Ashdown, one of England's quintessential heathland courses, stands in comparison with the best and most scenic courses in the United Kingdom.

The Old Course withstood torrential rains prior to the 36 hole event - but a delay was not necessary, a testament to its qualities. The field contained former England internationals, Walker Cup players, Senior Tour players and many other top professionals for the TP Tour's fourth visit to Ashdown.

The 2008 England amateur champion Todd Adcock of Nevill golf club in Kent finished with a score of three-under-par, his second runner-up finish of the year on the TP Tour.

Just behind Todd on two under par came Jamie Moul, the former World No.1 amateur, Walker Cup player and a winner on the Challenge Tour.

Alongside Jamie were Harry Casey of Enfield GC, and Toby Tree, attached to Golf at Goodwood, who was playing in his first professional tournament.

The eventual winner of the first prize of £1200 was first-round leader Jay Taylor, who made up for a triple bogey eight on the par-5 10th hole with three back-nine birdies, including a great three on the par 4 17th.

September 25th Stoneham Golf Club, Hampshire

The TP Tour visited Stoneham Golf Club for the first time in September. A top-class list of pros took part, among them two-time 2014 TP Winner, Raymond Russell.

Excellent rounds of 68 were posted by Craig Sutherland of Cherry Lodge, the current TP Tour Order of Merit leader, and Luke Cornford of Cooden Beach, also a two-[time winner on the TP Tour this season.

Sam Robertshawe and Harry Casey, both former England Amateur internationals, came in with five-under-par 67s. Casey was playing in his first event as a professional.

Both players birdied the first play off hole. Robertshawe then claimed victory with a birdie on the par-3 second.

Robertshawe, from Army GC, Aldershot, won his second TP Tour event following his win at the end of August at The Berkshire.

The TP TOUR Tour Championship takes place at Walton Heath's New Course on October 23, where the Order of Merit Champion will be crowned.
