TP Tour Results

The Tournament Players Tour had another event over the last weekend won by Hampshire's Daniel Bone

Daniel Bone

There was a first professional victory for Hampshire's Daniel Bone in this weeks TP Tour event at The Army Golf Club.

A field of 55 players contested the latest TP Tour Series event, the 15th event of the tour's 2012 season, which was played at the Army GC, Aldershot on 28th June.

The course was in fine fettle with greens in immaculate condition, comparable in speed with a European Tour event. There was a swirling wind which meant scoring proved tough.

Three players tied on one under par 70, Ryan Harrison from Bramley, Kent's Michael Bush and Daniel Bone from Hayling GC.

Lee James and Rich Prophet finished one shot back on level par 71.

Other players of note appearing in the event were former European Tour winners Paul Broadhurst and Jamie Spence who both shot 72's.

A play-off ensued and playing the 18th, the second extra play off hole, Bone scored a fine scrambling five after both he and Harrison caught trouble off the tee, which proved enough for victory.

Congratulations to Dan on his first pro win, and thanks to everyone at The Army, a fine golf course true to its roots.
