Olympic golf day one wrap up: Rose makes historic hole-in-one

The Olympics golf has started!

Rio Olympics Golf Course Hole by Hole Guide

Golf is back in the Games for the first time in 112 years and 60 men and 60 women are competing.

The men's event has already begun and is being broadcast by the BBC, the UK's Olympic broadcaster.

Due to the number of sports taking place at the Olympics, and the BBC's obligation to show all of them, golf won't get a great deal of coverage on the main terrestrial channels.

The schedule isn't set in stone but come the weekend when the conclusion is nearing, if team GB's Danny Willett and Justin Rose are in contention it will be shown live on either BBC 1, 2 or 4.

When the golf is on you will be able to watch it no matter what.

The BBC will show live coverage on your TV behind the red button and will also feature highlights in their end-of-day wrap-up programme.

Another great way of watching is on the BBC Sport website where they'll have a live stream covering the moment the day's first tee shot is hit right up until the final ball finds the bottom of the cup on the 18th.
