Hole 2
Strong wins can be a factor on this medium length par 4. Most players aim down the right, even though deep rough lies down that side.
Hole 3
This par 4 offers the first chance for the pros to bring out their driver. Two good shots here could set up a birdie putt.
Hole 4
This hole has been shortened from the 1998 Open. It looks straightforward from the elevated tee, but it can be tricky if the wind blows from the left side.
Hole 5
This is a short, yet often underestimated par 4. The pros will use a mid iron from the tee, and aim for a good position on the right hand side of the fairway.
Hole 6
This is a long par 4, particularly if the wind is against. The stroke average on this whole was 4.62 in 1998, so most players will be delighted with a par.
Hole 7
The 7th is a beautiful par 3, surrounded by bunkers. Aiming for the centre of the green is certainly the safe play here.
