Golf Monthly Senior Staff writer Paul O'Hagan tests the Bridgestone e6 golf ball

Bridgestone e6 ball
Golf Monthly Verdict

GM verdict: The e6 has the feel of a premium model. It's very soft, while managing to reduce spin on full shots, which is a real bonus in windy conditions. But... despite the soft feel, it
won't check up as quickly as premium offerings. PGA pro verdict: I was amazed at the soft feel the e6 provided. It's a good option for a wide range of handicaps, and those who don't want to pay the price of a premium ball. Test team rating: Performance: 4/5 Visual appeal: 4/5 Innovation: 4/5 Value: 5/5 Overall: 4.5/5

Key technology:

Bridgestone claims that the new e6 is not only three per cent softer than its predecessor, but also the softest multi-layer ball on the market. It's designed to reduce spin for a straighter ball flight and improved feel.
