MD Golf Superstrong Superfit TI Driver
Golf Monthly senior staff writer Paul O’Hagan reviews the MD Golf Superstrong Superfit TI Driver.
The visual appearance of the Superfit TI is impressive. Performance was strong and I was able to adjust the loft for different flight requirements. However, the sound at impact, which is often thought to directly affect the feel, was well below par. It had a very hollow noise, which was almost distracting. If you can tolerate the acoustics, it does perform well.

If you want a driver that gives you the option of removing or adding loft depending on the weather, ground conditions or your swing, then you won’t find many as affordable as the Superfit TI. Players who struggle to get the ball on a high flight will find plenty of help with this head, particularly when set in the high loft options. The grip offers just the right amount of tackiness and a responsive feel. Results on test were very consistent, delivering a strong flight with impressive forgiveness on shots from above and below the sweet spot.

The impact sound is one of the loudest around at the moment and will divide opinion. There are drivers out there that are longer, but they do come at a price.

Key technology
An adjustable hosel on the Superstrong Superfit TI driver allows the head to be set in lofts between nine and 12 degrees. A tungsten screw in the sole also helps to lower the centre of gravity and is designed to offer the optimum launch and spin characteristics. The deep 460cc head should make it easier to align the ball at address and help instil more confidence.
Will suit
Those after adjustability at an affordable price.
