A review of the Mizuno JPX-800 driver

Mizuno JPX800
Golf Monthly Verdict

Visually the Mizuno JPX-800 is a big improvement on the MX drivers and the sound has been improved. It produces impressive distance, which doesn?t drop off massively on shots that miss the middle.

Why you can trust Golf Monthly Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test.

Mizuno's Hot Metal technology is designed to maximise distance on shots struck below or above the centre of the Mizuno JPX-800 clubface. A square set-up at address is intended to help banish pulled miss-hits without adjusting face angle.

The shape of the head and colouring of the crown combines to create a great looking club. Players looking for more workability will be better fitted to the MP-630 head.
