TaylorMade Burner SuperFast driver review

TaylorMade Burner SuperFast driver
Golf Monthly Verdict

This gave an impressive high, penetrating trajectory. It is one of the longer drivers around. The headshape and busy graphics on the crown will not suit those who like traditional shapes – they would be better off looking at the new R9 SuperTri. (Tested by GM's Paul O'Hagan & James Mason) PGA Pro verdict I really liked the overall, modern look to this driver. The club has a wide toe and triangular body, and its face sat really square on the 9.5˚ model tested. Loft looked generous and the driver was indeed easy to launch. The face is very deep, allowing for a high peg, which again built confidence. It offered great forgiveness on off-centre hits. I really liked this product and would recommend it! (Tested by John Jacobs)

Key technology

The total weight of the club is 284 grams, which is 14 grams less than the Burner 09 driver. This helps encourage a wide and fast swing arc for added distance. Dual-crown technology lowers and moves back the centre of gravity and is combined with a large face to improve forgiveness and give a high launch angle
