MacGregor M59 fairway wood
Golf Monthly Senior Staff Writer Paul O'Hagan tests the MacGregor M59 fairway wood
GM verdict: A head shape that will offend few and appeal to many. The high flight is ideal for anyone who struggles off the fairway. But... the sole graphics don’t catch the eye as well as some. PGA pro verdict: The M59 driver impressed a couple of months ago, and so did its fairway wood stablemate. The shaft was a little heavy for me, but produced solid results. It was particularly impressive from the tee, offering a high flight, and will work well as a driver alternative. Test Team Rating: Performance: 3.5/5 Visual appeal: 3/5 Innovation: 3.5/5 Value: 4/5 Overall: 3.5/5
