Benross Quad irons review

Benross Quad irons
Golf Monthly Verdict

There is no doubting the forgiveness on offer here, particularly when the heads are combined with the Aldila graphite shaft. The weighting and the deep cavity make it very difficult to hit a severe cut and most players will produce a right-to-left ball flight. The flight with the long irons is also one of the highest on the market. Enormous forgiveness levels make these very easy to hit, particularly for those with slow swing speeds. They are ideal for those who really struggle with a slice. Anyone who fights a big hook will not be suited to these. As you would hope from a game-improvement set the ball flight is extremely high, which won't suit everyone's needs. PGA Pro verdict Following the traditions of game-improvement irons these tick all the right boxes. Easy to use, due to the peripheral weight distribution and low centre of gravity, these irons are aimed at golfers needing to be more consistent. The Aldila Hotcore shafts and grip combination make up a high-quality product. You could pay a lot more and not receive the same features and benefits. (John Jacobs)

The Benross Quad irons are game-improvement irons featuring oversize heads with corner and deep-sole weighting that moves the centre of gravity low and deep. This improves forgiveness on shots that miss the centre of the club. Aldila's new shaft helps to produce a higher flight.

The Benross Quad irons should suit anyone looking for more consistency in their whole set and/or those who struggle to hit a high flight with their long irons.

RRP: £299 (S), £349 (G)
