Adams-Irons
Golf Monthly Verdict

GM verdict One of the best-looking sets of irons on the market at the moment. Adams? hybrids, aimed at better players, have always impressed, but this is the brand?s finest iron offering for low handicappers to date. From the compact head to the cool-looking painted shaft and white grip, this set has a real wow factor. Confident players will love the compact appearance, but also be surprised by the high level of forgiveness on offer. The Idea CMB irons won?t suit everyone, and those who struggle with long irons won?t get the extreme forgiveness or high flight they?re looking for. On the other hand, some better players would like to see a 3-iron available as standard. PGA pro verdict I loved this set. The head design is beautiful, with a striking finish. They have a blade-like appearance from the top edge, but offered more forgiveness than expected. I also found it easy to keep the ball low, as well as being able to shape shots. The short irons were particularly impressive, thanks to the feel and flight they produced. The brushed aluminium look of the shaft, combined with a black and white grip, added to the outstanding overall appearance. Test Team Rating Performance - 5/5 Visual appeal - 5/5 Innovation - 5/5 Value - 4/5 Overall - 4.5/5

Key technology

Designed to be forgiving but also workable, thanks to a compact head combined with tungsten weighting low in the toe, which helps to position the centre of gravity in the optimum place. The weighting also reduces twisting at impact, to minimise the effect of mishits. The sole of the Idea CMB is cambered in three ways to help the club cut through the turf.

Will suit

Good players after workability and forgiveness.
