Ping S57 Irons
Ping S57 Irons
That these were designed with better ball strikers in mind is apparent as soon you look down at address. The thin topline and classic shape will intimidate less confident golfers but the S57s are actually more forgiving than you might think. The lower natural launch angle makes these extremely versatile and while the heads are cast and not forged, they still offer a decent level of feel.
Why you can trust Golf Monthly
Cast from 17-4 stainless steel, these irons feature a tungsten weight in the toe to help create a higher moment of inertia (MOI) through impact and reduce the amount of clubhead twist on any mis-hits. The centre of gravity in these small, compact heads is closer to the face creating a slightly lower launch angle and more penetrating flight. The brushed silver chrome finish should further attract the eye of the better player just as it has with many of Ping’s players on tour.
