Key Technology
The Ecco BIOM Hybrid 2 is the second generation of Ecco’s best-selling shoe. It is 15 per cent lighter than the original thanks to an extra-thin midsole and a dual-density TPU outsole. The shoe is designed to offer more support in key areas while delivering increased softness in others.

It includes a soft, breathable upper treated with Hydromax and an anti-stain formula to provide improved levels of protection. TPU traction bars provide both support and grip while Silicon rings prevent unwanted foot movement during the swing.

Will suit
Golfers seeking a stylish, comfortable spikeless golf shoe with a higher-end budget.

GM Verdict
Out of the box, the first thing that strikes you about Ecco’s BIOM Hybrid 2 shoes is the styling. Modern, sleek and very trendy, they wouldn’t be out of place on or off the golf course. Once you slide them on your feet, you’re greeted by supreme feelings of comfort up there with any other golf shoe.

Take a few steps and you immediately notice the light feel and spring in the cushioning, perfect for the long walk of 18 holes ahead. In fact, it barely feels like you’re wearing anything. The shoes are surprisingly grippy for a spikeless model, even in wet conditions and on downhill slopes the outsole held firm even on aggressive swings. When hitting shots, foot stability is enhanced by the silicon areas under foot without affecting comfort. Plus, they can stay on in the clubhouse.

Verdict

A modern, stylish spikeless shoe that also offers superior comfort and surprising levels of grip in both wet and dry conditions. A must try if money is no object..
