Golf Monthly takes an in-depth look at the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles the Ryder Cup Course 2014

Ryder Cup Course 2014

Hole 18 – “Dun Roamin’” – Par 5  – 513 Yards

This par-5 has been shortened to provide inevitable drama at the conclusion of any match going the distance. A tee shot that finds the fairway will enable players to reach the green in two, but there is trouble to be found in the form of a bunker and a copse of pine trees. A well struck approach will be required to setup an eagle opportunity, as there is a cluster of bunkers set into a bank just short of the green. Any shot not finding the heart of the green will like roll off down one of the many steep inclines boarding the putting surface.
