Win a place in the Wirral Golf Classic

Golf Monthly have teamed up with the Wirral Golf Classic and the Thornton Hall Hotel to offer a fantastic prize for one very lucky reader

The inaugural Wirral Golf Classic, a 72-hole Stableford competition for club golfers, will be held on 13-17 September 2010 on four beautiful golf courses on England's Golf Coast - Caldy, Heswall, Wallasey and the magnificent Royal Liverpool. One lucky reader will be able to gain free entry to the Classic along with six nights accommodation at the stunning Thornton Hall Hotel with a friend.

All competitors will play each of the four courses, with one rest day during the week. The main competition is an aggregate Stableford with prizes for the top 20 players over four rounds but there will also be daily competitions.

Players must be 18 years and older, with a maximum handicap of 24 for men and 36 for ladies. (NB The maximum number of strokes given will be 18 for men and 27 for ladies, per round). All must be members of a recognised golf club, or affiliated to their country's governing body, and must present a current & active handicap certificate from their club on arrival.
