The dogleg-left 17th is the second and final par-5 on the course, and most will remember it for Padraig Harrington's stunning eagle in 2008.

The Irishman hit a five wood from 270-yards here nine years ago to set up an eagle three on his way to defending the Claret Jug.

Looking back down the 17th

The tee shot is framed beautifully, with two huge sand dunes on either side of the fairway and two bunkers on the outside of the dogleg.

The drive must stay short of the bunkers at 317 and 332 from the back tee or draw off of them.

There is a bunker at 105 yards from the green which makes lay ups tricky.

The putting surface is huge and undulating, with four pot bunkers protecting either side.
