A guide to the eleventh hole on the Old Course at Royal Troon ahead of the 145th Open Championship
Royal Troon Golf Club Hole by Hole: Hole 11
Hole 11 - Par 4 - 482 yards
Named 'The Railway' after the railway line which goes down the right side of this hole, the 11th is one of the toughest on the course.
The 11th tee shot is a scary one, with around 200 yards of gorse in front of the tee, out of bounds to the right and more gorse left.
The green is protected by just one bunker short-left but that's all it needs as the railway is just off the right of the green.
A par here will almost feel like a birdie.
