Sergio Garcia
Nationality: Spanish
Date of birth: January 9 1980

Turned pro: 1999
Last five Masters finishes: 46th ('06), MC ('05), T4th ('04), T28th ('03), 8th ('02)
Still only 27 but often considered something of a veteran, the swashbuckling Spaniard already boasts 12 top-10 finishes in Major Championships.
Taking his talent to the next level, that of Major champion, has so far proved elusive, mainly due to his inconsistent putting. He has surprisingly fallen behind Henrik Stenson, Padraig Harrington and Luke Donald in the European pecking order but it would be no surprise were he to break his Major duck at Augusta and emulate the likes of fellow Spanish wizards Seve Ballesteros and José Maria Olazábal.
