Holly Clyburn, an England girl international from Woodhall Spa, shot up the field after she added 68, 72 to her opening 77 - which included two penalty shots. Her scores helped her cut her handicap to plus-one.
The 17-year-old also finished runner-up in the U18 section of the championship, which attracted two Curtis Cup players and a number of Scottish internationals. The overall winner was Scotlands Kelsey MacDonald who was 11-under par (70 70 71)
Midland ladies champion Harriet Owers-Bradley (Wollaton Park) was also in the field and finished in a share of 12th place on 229: 76 76 77.
Meanwhile, there is more good golfing news in the Clyburn household. Hollys 11-year-old sister, India, has qualified for the grand final of the Wee Wonders competition which takes place at St Andrews next month.
