The stunning Remedy Oak golf course in Dorset played host to the 66 Pro Tour Series on Tuesday June 1 where Matt Ford was victorious, edging out Lee James in a playoff.
Challenge Tour stalwart James faced Ford in a playoff after both players carded 69s, setting a new course record, which had been held by Nick Dougherty since 2006.
The former PGA Assistants champion Ford sunk a 10-foot birdie putt at the par-3 ninth to defeat James.
After his round, Ford reflected on the 256-acre woodland gem, saying: "It was a great day, this venue is the best course I have played in a long time."
Nestled in the Horton woodland in Dorset, designed by John Jacobs in 2005, Remedy Oak offers both maturity and stature - unusual for such a young golf course - making it a worthy member of Golf Monthly's top 100 golf courses in the UK.
Meanwhile, Order of Merit leader Daniel Gaunt had another good day, finishing in third place with a 2-under-par 70.
