'The complete gourmet experience' now available at Monte Rei

The Vistas restaurant provides the ultimate in gastronomic delights with a unique ambiance and uncompromising level of service.

Featuring a Mediterranean Cuisine with Iberian influences, Vistas Restaurant offers a complete experience that combines the ultimate in gastronomic delights with a unique ambiance and uncompromising level of service that makes for an unforgettable visit.

The ambiance is matched by the quality of the cuisine because the vital ingredient that sets Vistas Restaurant truly apart is the award-winning Spanish-born Chef Jaime Pérez and his creed of “only the best is good enough”. Jamie joined Monte Rei as Executive Chef in June 2007 and has the distinction of having worked as a leading Chef at the famous 3 star Michelin El Bulli Restaurant on the Catalonian coastline, north of Barcelona, which was voted the best restaurant in the world by the New York Times for two years in a row. Before arriving at Monte Rei, Jaime worked at the Ritz Carlton Arts Hotel in Barcelona, heading two of the main restaurants including the fine dining restaurant Enoteca; the culinary showcase of the hotel.

The Vistas Restaurant is open for dinner from 7.00pm to 10.30pm during the week, except on Sunday and Monday.

Tables can be reserved by calling the restaurant on +351 281 950 960.

The quality of Vistas Restaurant is mirrored by Monte Rei’s first golf course, which opened last year and has already been hailed in the golf press as a golfing masterpiece unrivalled in the region. The Jack Nicklaus Signature design meanders through gently rolling hills and valleys and is surrounded by over 400 hectares of beautiful Algarve countryside, with wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean to the south and a back drop of the dramatic Serra do Caldeirao mountains to the north.

In addition to the two superlative golf courses, facilities will ultimately include a tennis complex, spa and equestrian centre, and a separate, stunning, ocean side Beach Club with its own gym, tennis courts and sun-drenched swimming pool. The Monte Rei experience captivates the natural charm and character of the picturesque East Algarve region and is destined to become one of the world’s leading golf course resorts - all this just thirty minutes east of Faro and one hour west from Seville near the ancient fishing town of Tavira.
