Troon Golf support International Post-Graduate Diploma

Troon Golf collaborate with Les Roches to enhance the experiences gained by Post-Graduate students in their international development

Troon Golf, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing will play an important role in the promotion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Golf Management offered at the renowned Les Roches International School of Hotel Management based in Marbella, Spain. The one year course offers graduates the opportunity to fast track their international career to managerial positions within the golf industry, which Troon Golf will support by offering six-month long internships and career placement opportunities at its various facilities worldwide.

The superior service and operational excellence that is maintained at Troon Golf facilities were highlighted by Les Roches as being particularly valuable, as they look to provide the highest quality education for students’ development. The Post Graduate diploma in Golf Management is a year long programme, broken down into two six month semesters. First semester courses such as ‘Food and Beverage Operations’, ‘Facilities Management’ and ‘Turf Grass Management’ will be enhanced by real life industry experience in the second semester internship.

Damien Murphy, Sales & Marketing Manager, Troon Golf Europe is one of the teachers on the programme that aims to equip students with the professional competencies required to succeed in Golf Management. The internships offered by Troon Golf will enhance the international options available to the students, whilst providing real life industry experience to help develop a work ethic and a professional attitude. Students will get the opportunity to work in different key areas of a golf club, to allow them to learn about the operation and live situations, which arise on a daily basis.

Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, Troon Golf EMA is committed to developing Troon Golf’s presence in Europe, Middle East and Africa. This rapidly expanding division now oversees operations at 38 courses in 12 countries including Dubai, Portugal, Spain and England with further expansion planned across all regions.

With global headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz., Troon Golf is the world’s largest golf management company, overseeing operations at 200 courses located in 31 states and 31 countries.
