The champagne house Moët & Chandon has agreed a new two-year extension to continue as the Official Supplier of Champagne to The European Tour, which sees its association with the Tour extend to 17 years.

The brand will also maintain its position as Official Supplier of Champagne to the BMW PGA Championship, which includes sponsorship of the Moët & Chandon Brasserie in the Spectator Village at Wentworth Club in May 2009 and 2010.

James Cockeram, Managing Director of Moët Hennessy Europe, said: "We are delighted to have extended this agreement for a further two years until the end of 2010. Golf has been important to Moët & Chandon for many years, both in Europe and globally and we are delighted to continue our excellent association with The European Tour.”

Scott Kelly, Group Marketing Director of The European Tour, who signed the agreement with James Cockeram, said: "Moët & Chandon have been part of the family of European Tour Sponsors since 1994, and we are delighted that the partnership is to continue through 2009 and 2010 at Tour level and during our Flagship tournament, the BMW PGA Championship.”
