Cleveland golf announces 588 irons family
Cleveland Golf has announced the launch of the new Cleveland 588 irons and 588 RTX bladed wedges
Cleveland Golf has created a new range of irons for 2013.
The new 588 family of irons is designed to make the game more enjoyable for golfers as they can interchange between three head designs which emphasize feel, forgiveness and flight.
The differing designs are aimed towards players of specific abilities as the variations in construction aspire to appeal to golfers of all levels.
The 588 Altitude range is created with Super Game-Improvement players in mind. This hybrid-iron set adds forgiveness through its advanced internal weighting system and hollow construction. Every iron has a forged club face engineered to enhance ball speed and feel.
Golfers of all abilities will prosper with the 588 MT (Mid Trajectory) irons. The MT clubs have all the positives of the Altitude range but also offer a multi-material insert of polymer and aluminium in each iron plaque which dampens vibration at impact for a more consistent sensation.
The final set in the family is the 588 TT (Tour Trajectory) clubs, which offer the multiple benefits of the Altitude and MT clubs whilst also including a modest cavity back with engineered undercut to improve ball speed and accuracy on off-centre hits.
They are best suited to Game-Improvement or experienced players.

Cleveland Golf is also promoting its new wedge as part of the 588 range.
The 588 RTX bladed wedge incorporates the company's breakthrough ROTEX face.
The Rotex face creates more friction at impact, helping golfers to achieve even more spin on chips, pitches and partial shots from any lie.
The club also features 16% larger U-Grooves and the S-Sole design inspired by Cleveland Golf's popular CG15 wedges.
Golfers can have the wedge custom fitted at any Cleveland Golf Centres of Excellence or custom fit venues.
