Mizuno has announced the addition of impressive former amateur star Daan Huizing to its team for the 2013 season.

The Dutchman is considered an exciting capture for Mizuno, who believe he has masses of potential to fulfill in the near future.

Over the last three years, the 22-year-old has gathered 12 national and international victories.

The year 2012 saw him win both the Lytham Trophy and the St Andrews Links Trophy. He posted a record 23-under-par at the St Andrews course.

Mizuno Tour Operations Manager Andy Kikidas said: "We met Daan several years ago at the Dutch Open when he walked onto our workshop as an amateur looking for support. We've supported Daan with his equipment and followed his progress ever since and are incredibly excited that he's signed with Mizuno as a professional."

The major golf company also bolstered their side in preparation for the new year by agreeing renewed contracts for Marcel Siem and Chris Wood.

Siem enjoyed success last year with a win at the French Open and Englishman Wood, still just 25-years-old, is tipped to be the next big thing of English golf.

Mizuno have also secured prior contracted players on new agreements - Magnus A Carlsson, Peter Whiteford, Ignacio Garrido, Gary Orr and Ricardo Gonzalez. They will be joined by Tour School graduates Lasse Jensen and David Griffiths.
