YE Yang wins USPGA Championship
Yong-eun Yang of South Korea became the first Asian-born player to win a Major as he overtook Tiger Woods to capture the USPGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota.
Harrington wins USPGA
Padraig Harrington becomes the first European since 1930 to win the USPGA Championship and the first man since Tiger Woods in 2006 to win back to back Major titles.
Donald to miss PGA Championship
Luke Donald will miss the final major of the 2008 season, and he remains a huge doubt for Septembers Ryder Cup at Valhalla. Donald has not played competitive golf since the US Open, where he injured his wrist during the final round.
Norman declines PGA invitation.
Greg Norman has rejected the opportunity to compete in this weeks PGA Championship at Oakland Hills. The 53 year old had been invited to take part in the event following his superb performance at the Open Championship at Birkdale. However, Northern Irelands Darren Clarke has accepted his own invitation, and will take his place in Michigan.
