Wellington College make a clean sweep of the trophies

18 schools from as far afield as Newcastle and Devon took part in the second ISGA Schools Cup held at Collingtree Park in association with Explanar.

The format is teacher and 3 pupils play stroke play with the best 3 total scores to count.

3 or 4 schools were in the running to take the main Trophy with handicaps from plus 2 to 5.

The Nett Trophy was won by Reeds School from Surrey.

The Teachers Trophy was won by Mark Patterson from St Josephs.

Wellington College players Ed Peters and Alexandra Peters both took the best Individual Trophy for boys and girls.

Wellington College team Iain Henderson (teacher) Ed Peters, Alexandra Peters and Jordan Mann won the gross team Trophy, 10 shots clear of Bedford last years winners.

Luther Blacklock was on hand to demonstrate the Explanar to teachers and pupils.

All the schools thoroughly enjoyed their day at Collingtree Park with its friendly and helpful staff.

Luther Blacklock gave a short speech to the assembled golfers and presented the winners with their trophies.
