The prestigious Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews is once again offering enthusiasts its highly successful Winter Passport to Golf package with the guarantee of a round of golf on the famous Old Course, acknowledged to be the origin of the game and the ultimate challenge golfers aspire to play in their lifetime.

The Winter Passport to Golf offers a definite fast-track opportunity to play the Old Course and avoid the prospect of being balloted among hundreds of other hopeful golfers for a place on the first tee. The programme gets underway on November 1st 2008 and golfers booking a two or three night stay at the renowned five-star hotel will receive three rounds on St Andrews Links including an all-important tee time on the Old Course.

On offer is the unique chance of standing on the same stage where golfing history has been made down the centuries and play the famous seventeenth Road Hole and the equally renowned eighteenth hole where World Number 1 Tiger Woods secured his 2000 and 2005  Open titles and where the legendary Jack Nicklaus bid farewell to Championship golf in an emotional farewell on the Swilken Bridge.

The two and three night stays in a sea-facing Old Course room include dinner each evening in either the highly acclaimed Road Hole Grill or Sands Restaurant, full Scottish Breakfast each morning, plus three rounds of golf on the legendary St Andrews Links including a tee time on the Old Course, plus a round on two other popular links courses of your choice – the New, Jubilee, Eden or Strathyrum.

The two night packages start from £388 and the three night packages £485 based on two people sharing and all guests will also have full use of the award winning Kohler Waters Spa. (excluding treatments) The Winter Passport to Golf runs until April 30th 2009 and is subject to availability.

Guests may also choose to extend the Winter Passport package by adding an extra night’s bed and breakfast accommodation and a round of golf on The Duke’s for only £135 per person.

Availability is limited – for full terms and conditions and to make a booking call
01334 474 371 or visit the Old Course Hotel website.
