Darren Clarke will once again be supporting Breast Cancer Campaign throughout 2009 by encouraging golf clubs all across the UK to take part in the charity’s £100 Golf Club Challenge.

The £100 Challenge is an annual initiative where Campaign asks golf clubs UK-wide to hold a fundraising event in support of the charity. This can be anything from a pink-themed charity tournament to raffles, coffee mornings or even choosing Campaign as their charity of the year. All the money raised will help Campaign fund innovative world-class research.

Darren Clarke said: "Breast cancer has touched my life. Taking part is simple and it’s a great way to have fun with friends while raising vital funds for research into breast cancer."

The fundraising challenge is set at £100. However, there are various fundraising levels in place for those that think they can beat this target: Bronze (£100), Silver (£500), Gold (£1,000) and Pink (£2,500).

Last year over 125 golf clubs across the UK took part in the £100 Challenge and raised £70,000 for the charity.

Campaign provides clubs with a fundraising guide with tips and ideas to get you started as well as providing dedicated team members to help support clubs organise events.
