Keen golfer Sir Steve Redgrave will be supporting The Prince's Trust

Olympic rowers Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent will be visiting Northampton next month to host a golf day in support of The Prince's Trust.

The pair won nine rowing golf medals between them and they'll will be lining up alongside some top players at the event, which is being played at Collingtree golf course.

Tickets to the event, on St George’s Day, April 23, include breakfast, use of the driving range, 18 holes of golf and a three-course meal.

Redgrave said: “I am passionate about the work of The Prince's Trust, which has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands young people.

Pinsent added: “We are both looking forward to the golf day on St George’s Day. We are always keen to get involved with sport as we are both very competitive individuals.”

The Prince’s Trust works with 14 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.

The Prince of Wales’ charity has helped more than 575,000 young people since 1976 and supports 100 more each working day.

Tickets start at £105 and those interested should contact Carole McFarland at Collingtree Golf course on 01604 700000.
