Moortown will host one of the Lawrence Batley 80s Golf Tournament 2009 on September 7
The Lawrence Batley 80s Golf Tournament 2009 is gearing up for another exciting season with three events scheduled at Leatherhead, Maxstoke Park and Moortown.
Special prizes are given to the winners and runners up at Leatherhead and Maxstone Park who will qualify to attend the Moortown event as invited guests of Mr & Mrs Firth. They will also receive free entry and complimentary hotel accommodation including meals for themselves and a friend or relative.
Entrance fees are £25 which includes morning coffee, 18 holes of golf, midround refreshments, after game meal, commemorative bag tag, mini whisky and three golf balls.
Those that have played before can enter by email – simply contact bobwilkinson@aliceadsl.fr conveying the information required on the entry form, or complete the entry form and post it to Margaret Dodd.
Entries should be made as soon as possible, which will be acknowledged by email or telephone. The Order of Play will be distributed two weeks before the event.
Sadly, Tom Galloway, an ever present competitor at the Lawrence Batley 80s Tournament since it started in 1992, died in February. He would have been 99 in May and will be greatly missed.
