British Captains' Tournament
Golf club captains, vice-captains and past captains – men and women – are invited to compete in The British Captains’ Tournament, which could take winners and their fellow club members on a luxury trip to Portugal.

After playing in just one event I was impressed by the organisation and welcoming atmosphere your team created.
My comment /suggestion was in relation to the prize distribution. Its essentially an all or nothing event.
What about the prize level coming down to include the runner up and 3rd place team receive free entry the following year?
I believe this will increase the number of entries in years following and broaden the fan base. It would encourage clubs to enter two or more teams at less expense.
Many golfers see these tournaments as too good to be true so word of mouth with the real story goes a long way.
Hope you see this suggestion favourably.
Kind regards.
Keith.

We entered this competition last year with the idea of getting to play a new course and to have a bit of fun as a team. As it turns out we not only won the qualifier but the overall event for the Ladies section!
The competition is extremely well run and Rodney and Richard have eveything organised for you from the qualifying competition to arranging everythiing for you in Portugal, including recommending some superb restaurants. I have to say we had an excellent time and made some good friends with the opposition teams.
I'd recommend entering this competition to any team. I know we are entering again this year.

We entered a team to play Leeds Cobble Hall last year and wow we qualified to get through to play at Portugal.
We had a fantastic day at Cobble Hall where we were all made to feel very welcome. The Competition was very well run and the Organisers were second to none. We had a great time in Portugal, got to play some magnificent courses, unfortunately we did not win, but winning in the qualifying round was a bonus. We have entered a team again this year, try and give it a second go, one of the best organised events I have played in. Well done and keep up the good work. Vicky Mackley - Bondhay Golf Club
