Samuel L Jackson is gearing up for his charity golf day in support of the Samuel L Jackson Foundation and British charity Rainbow Trust

Samuel L Jackson has announced that Michael Bolton will headline at his Shooting Stars in Desert Nights Charity benefit, in aid of the Samuel L Jackson Foundation and British charity Rainbow Trust.

Bolton will be providing the entertainment on the night – ably supported by the award winning BBC Big Band.

For the event, hosted at London’s exclusive Hurlingham Club, Jackson has teamed up with Virgin Atlantic to fly an A-list cast of personal friends including Luke Wilson, Alice Cooper, Jesse Metcalfe, JJ Field, Damien Lewis and Nia Long to enjoy an evening which includes a menu designed by Marcus Wareing.

Keen golfer, Jackson said: “This event gives me the opportunity to share the blessings that come with my success, with deserving individuals or groups.

“My friends and I hope the trip will signify the desire and hope we have to create a better life for all, and the dream we have for a better world.”

The benefit is set to become the charity fundraiser of the year with a star-studded ball preceded by a golf day at the London Golf Club, enabling charity supporters to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play golf with some famous stars.

The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity is a national charity that provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
