Kenilworth Golf Club in Warwickshire will play host to the second Kenilworth Junior Masters on April 7th 2010. The Golf Society of Great Britain will sponsor the event, which is one of six competitions to be held annually at some of the finest venues the UK has to offer.
One notable former winner is 21-year old Oliver Fisher. Since his triumph at Kenilworth, Fisher has become the youngest ever participant in the Walker Cup and turned professional in late 2006 after a successful stint on the European Tour's qualifying school.
This achievement earned Fisher the distinction of being the youngest ever Briton to gain his tour card. Other notable participants include Tommy Fleetwood, a member of the EGU's England Squad, and Jonathan Bell, a representative of the EGU's ‘A' squad.
Boys and girls of all abilities under the age of 14 are eligible to compete. Last year, the Kenilworth Junior Masters attracted a multitude of keen young golfers from all over the country, and with the number of entrants limited to just 72, those wishing to take part should submit their entry as soon as possible.
