The new driver, which will be on sale from November 1 and will retail at £329.99, features not only what is said to be the largest clubface in golf, but also Cobra's new Adjustable Flight Technology. It has two flight bias settings - standard and draw-biased - and players are able to use the Cobra L5V's fitting torque wrench to switch between the two. Indeed, with the draw-biased setting, the L5V will surely be seen as a game saver for higher handicappers who struggle with a left-to-right shape off the tee.

Elsewhere, Cobra's proven Dual Rhombus Face Insert Technology allows for superb forgiveness off the tee. With a clubhead that features an ultra-lightweight carbon composite crown and sole inserts, Cobra engineers have been able to shift the centre of gravity lower and further back, helping to produce higher launch and lower spin, thus maximising distance and accuracy.

Furthermore, the L5V driver is designed to suit varying ball speed players with a non-adjustable swing-weight screw in the sole helping to balance the clubhead perfectly with the shaft.

However, it seems that the L5V's unique selling point will undoubtedly be the setting adjustment on offer. The Cobra L5V driver's torque wrench fits into the hosel screw port to adjust ball flight and/or change the shaft, with over 30 custom shaft options available.

In short, the new Cobra L5V driver allows players to maximise personal driving distance thanks to the adjustable settings that enable all kinds of ball-strikers to customising their club to optimum effect.

This driver looks handy, bit pricey but if you can adjust the settings it looks like it could be the cure to my woes off the tee
