Justin Rose: "The email that changed my life"
Justin Rose gives an interesting insight into his green ambitions and a life-changing email
Justin Rose has revealed how an email from his sponsor Tradition, changed his life and helped him to realise his green ambitions.
After claiming the European Order of Merit title last year, the World No.15 received an email from Tradition, interested in rewarding the rising star with a gift.
Together with his wife, Kate, the couple agreed on a carbon neutral project that would offset all the carbon emissions produced by the ‘Justin Rose team’ – himself, his caddie and his fitness trainer.
Taking over 100 flights collectively each year with his team, his environmental concern has led to an interesting new project in his native South Africa. One particular factory in his homeland will be producing biomass bricks, which are clean burning, and a replacement for coal.
