Henrik Stenson leads the Nedbank Challenge in South Africa
Swede Henrik Stenson remains in command at the Nedbank Challenge after hitting 12-under-par through 10 holes. Yet play had to be suspended at the Gary Player Country Club in South Africa due to electrical storms at 14:26pm local time.
Once play resumes, Stenson's closest challenger, Rory Sabbatini will have a short birdie putt to sink which will move him to seven-under following a good start to the 2nd round with two birdies and no mistakes.
Other contender's include debutants Robert Karlsson, Stenson's Omega Mission Hill's World Cup-winning partner, and KJ Choi who joinSergio Garcia at two-under.
Karlsson had joined Stenson in the lead for a short time on Thursday before a bogey and two back-nine double bogeys widened the gap between him and his fellow Swede.
Garcia played a string of pars which he then converted for back-to-back birdies before the turn, pushing him back into contention.
At two-under, Garcia is one shot ahead of England’s Luke Donald while Kenny Perry is sharing the eighth spot with South African Open winner, James Kingston.
