Titleist 909F2 fairway metal
Titleist 909F2 and 909F3 fairway metals have been introduced to the European market following the success of the Titleist 909 drivers.
The 909F2 and 909F3 fairway metals feature their own precisely positioned centre of gravity to produce distinct launch conditions and ball flights, and they’ve already received praise from Tour professionals.
Robert Karlsson, last season’s European Tour Order of Merit champion, was one of dozens of players to make the switch to the 909 fairways.
“My equipment has improved my game and I have some new fairway metals now, which have certainly helped me this year,” said the Swede, shortly after adding the Titleist 909F3’s to his bag at the end of last season.

The 909F2 has half a degree more than the 909F3 and a lower centre of gravity, which helps to provide a higher launch without increased spin.
Conversely, the 909F3’s centre of gravity is further forward, and the smaller and deeper face is designed to help players increase their shaping options.
The European market can now get their hands on the Titleist 909F2 and Titleist 909F3 fairway metals at a recommended retail price of £159.

I took a demo version of the 13.5 degree out on the course at Moortown Golf Club (Leeds) this week and I was extremely impressed. Every shot seemed to fly 'arrow straight' with great flight. Very easy to hit off the deck and impressive off the tee. It sits so nicely behind the ball, which gave me a lot of confidence - I am usually happier with the irons. I will be getting one!!
