Leisurecorp unveil the Earth Course at the Jumeirah Golf Estates

Leisurecorp has unveiled the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates where The Race to Dubai will conclude in November, when it hosts the Dubai World Championship.

The Greg Norman-designed course, featuring four final holes described by the man himself as the “most challenging in golf”, welcomes the top 60 players in The Race to Dubai in 10 months time.

Darren Clarke, Sergio Garcia, Robert Karlsson, Martin Kaymer, Justin Rose and promising youngster Khalid Yousuf, played the last four holes of the Earth Course under the watchful eye of Abdul Wahid Al Ulama, vice chairman of Leisurecorp, George O’Grady, Chief Executive of The European Tour and David Spencer, Leisurecorp CEO.

Sergio Garcia, who currently leads The Race to Dubai was also at the Earth Course to launch the new TaylorMade R9 driver, and the Spaniard said: “This is an incredibly impressive golf course, and worthy of such an important golf tournament.

“Earth could easily be played competitively now, and I am amazed how much it has progressed. I am looking forward to coming back in November to play for real!”

The Race to Dubai returns this Thursday for The Dubai Desert Classic.
